The Highway Hotline is making it easier for travelers to check road conditions in Saskatchewan.

There is now a new version of the mobile website which lets people choose interactive maps and click on specific portions of a highway.

“It’s important to note that about 60 per cent of users to our Highway Hotline, which is about three million visits annually now, use the mobile method,” Steve Shaheen, with the ministry of highways and infrastructure communications branch, said.

The mobile version allows cell phone users to use GPS to pinpoint the condition of highways near their location.
