It's my Parting Shot as the Fearless Predictor strides confidently into Week 15 of the C-F-L season...
If not for a Hamilton over B-C upset, Week 14 would've been perfect...but I know Rider Nation liked the result, so who am I to complain! Onward we go...
The first game of a Friday Night doubleheader has the Riders in Ottawa. This is a trap game...and Chris Jones knows it! The RedBlacks may be without their first two quarterbacks...but third-stringer Ryan Lindley has started in the N-F-L. If he has time to throw, the defending Grey Cup champs have very good receivers. Having said that, I think the Green and White are the better team and will win by less than a field goal!
The Friday nightcap has Montreal in Calgary. The Alouettes should've learned how to defend the Stampeders from last week's Saskatchwan game. On the other hand, the Stamps should've learned how to get their passing game going against that type of defence! This won't be close...Calgary by at least two touchdowns!
The first of two games Saturday has Toronto in Hamilton. The Tiger Cats have won three of four games and can really become involved in the playoff conversation by beating the Argos. James Wilder Junior might be the difference out of the Toronto backfield as the Argonauts row away by less than a touchdown!
That leaves Winnipeg at Edmonton Saturday night. The Eskimos have lost five straight after winning the first seven...and had a bye last week. They should be ready for a very good Blue Bombers team. This will be the best game of the weekend with Winnipeg coming out on top by less than a field goal!
Last week's 3-and-1 performance gets me back to two-thirds correct overall at 38-and-19!
