If you happen by Saskatoon City Hall from now until Christmas you’ll notice the lit tree and Santa’s sleigh in the foyer. On Tuesday, Mayor Clark joined with the Directors of the Secret Santa Foundation, our Title Sponsor Saskatoon Coop, Country 600 CJWW radio, our other valuable sponsors, and the carolling firefighters to officially begin the annual Secret Santa campaign.
Secret Santa puts together Christmas hampers containing food, toys and books for 800 less fortunate families, all of which have children under the age of 14. The Secret Santa Foundation gratefully accepts donations in cash or of new, unwrapped toys suitable for a child under 14. There are drop-off locations throughout Saskatoon including City Hall, Saskatoon Co-op stores including Warman, Martensville and Colonsay, the PAC Centre at the U of S, the YMCA, Moxie’s Grill & Bar and the Mall at Lawson Heights. For information about Secret Santa or to make a cash donation, there is a website, Saskatoonsecetsanta.ca. Let’s make this year’s campaign a huge success and thank you on behalf of those in need.
