Horse enthusiasts look forward to the event all year.
The seventh annual Saskatchewan Equine Expo runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Feb 16-18) at Saskatoon Prairieland Park.
Equine Expo is organized by volunteers from the Saskatchewan Horse Federation, various equine breed groups, as well as faculty and students from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine.
Attendance set a new record of more than 11,000 people last year. Prairieland Park Assistant Agriculture Manager Leigh Ann Hurlburt says Equine Expo attracts a wide audience from rural and urban areas.
"We have people come from all over the province from every (riding) discipline."
Highlights include sessions with nationally recognized trainer Jonathan Field and the popular Equine Extravaganza on Friday and Saturday evenings.
