Markson Bechtold and Trevor Martin have committed to start their C-I-S careers with the Waterloo Warriors in Ontario.
Bechtold played an injury-shortened 2016-17 half season in Saskatoon after coming over from Spokane in a mid-season trade.
The overage winger from Strathmore, Alta., had three goals and four assists in 20 games in a Blades uniform and posted career numbers of 38 goals and 62 assists in 231 WHL regular-season games.
Martin ended a journeyman-like junior hockey career last season with the Calgary Hitmen. The goaltender from Androssan, Alta., spent some time with the QMJHL’s Baie-Comeau Drakkar last season before landing in Calgary.
The 21-year-old Martin had a 19-game stint in Saskatoon in 2014-15, posting a 3-10-2 record with a 4.16 GAA and .886 SP.
He also covered Jr-A creases in Whitecourt, Melville and West Kelowna.
