It's a triple whammy. You can get in the holiday spirit with the lights of the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, enjoy some musical entertainment and help out the Saskatoon Food Bank, but it has drawn large crowds in the past so the Saskatoon Police Service has announced some temporary road closures and parking restrictions.
The Holiday Train is scheduled to stop at the CP Rail Overpass on 7th Avenue North and 33rd Street East around 8:35 with entertainment from 8:45 to 9:15. Cash and non-perishable food items are accepted for the Food Bank. As of 7 p.m., 33rd Street will be closed between 6th and 10th Avenue and 7th Avenue will be closed between Empress Street and Duchess Street. Also Warburton Street between 7th and 10th Avenue will be closed and any side streets and alleys that connect, will be closed as well. That means when you are going to this, you will have to park outside the immediate area.
