Saskatoon Police say it's what officers saw when they arrived on scene which led them to believe a teenage boy had been shot yesterday afternoon.
The call came in around 3 p.m. of an injured person in the 22 hundred block of St. Charles Avenue which is in Saskatoon's Exhibition neightourhood.
Whether the victim was shot hasn't been confirmed, nor was the victim's condition known and there has been no word that arrests were made.
Saskatoon Police say they ended up giving chase when they spotted a stolen vehicle in the 23 hundred block of St. George Avenue around 1 a.m. this morning.
The vehicle had been stolen from out of town and when police fired up their emergency equipment it took off. With the police plane up and flying and serving as a pair of eyes from the sky, police managed to take preemptive action and laid out a spike belt at Circle Drive and 33rd Street.
The vehicle eventually came to a stop near Avenue W and 29th Street West which is when two suspects fled on foot. Using the Canine unit, two men aged 19 and 20, were tracked to a nearby yard and taken into custody. One of the suspects suffered a minor dog bite and both are in court this morning.
