The Prince Albert SPCA was trying to find a litter of 8 kittens with 2 lit on fire last week, and managed to find 7 of them but not the 8th or the mother. The 8th kitten was later found and taken to a different rescue.
In a Facebook post, the P.A. SPCA says someone spotted a group of kids throwing these one week old kittens in the air. This person was able to convince the group to hand over one of them, which was taken in to the SPCA and then the search was on for the rest of them. The last 2 kittens that were brought in to the shelter were singed and had been lit on fire. The kittens were put in with a cat that had recently had kittens and she has accepted them. The Prince Albert SPCA says the kittens are now thriving with their new mom. There is an investigation underway, but the shelter says that they are having a difficult time identifying any of the individuals involved, but they are hoping and looking for leads.
