A collision in North Battleford that left a man in his 60s seriously injured remains under investigation.

Battlefords RCMP responded Saturday morning to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian incident north of the intersection of Territorial Drive and Carlton Trail.

Shortly before 10:30 a.m., a car reportedly struck the man crossing the road near Walmart.

Police blocked access to the northbound lane for several hours, where the car remained with a damaged windshield and items, including a shoe and a hat, remained strewn across the road.

The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to Saskatoon hospital for treatment for serious injuries, with the latest report being he’s continuing to receive medical care. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
