SOME of the Saskatchewan Party candidates running for leadership signed Taxpayer Protection Pledge this morning [wed].
Three of them, to be exact. Ken Cheveldayoff, Scott Moe and Gord Wyant agreed to sign the Canadian Taxpayers Federation pledge to balance the budget and not impose any major tax increases - if elected. Elana Koch, Rob Clark and Tina Beaudry-Mellor did not sign Todd MacKay is the CTF prairie director. He says all elected officials should be held accountable for their campaign promises. He says people in this province expect promises to be kept. MacKay says Saskatchewan cannot rack up a big debt and leave it for our kids and grand kids. The Saskatchewan Party elects a new leader January 27, 2018.
