You might want to check if your Saskatchewan health card is up to date.
Right now, eHealth Saskatchewan is sending packages containing stickers that renew health cards for a three-year period, to December 31, 2020. Shaylene Salazar, the Vice President of Strategy, Quality and Risk Management with eHealth Saskatchewan, says the process is crucial for the ministry. She says updating contact information allows them to ensure your renewal sticker will be delivered to your new address. All provincial health cards expire on December 31, 2017. Salazar says if your card is out of date, you will still get your health coverage, but non-urgent care may be delayed and could be charged by the provider for the care. All Saskatchewan residents with provincial health coverage will be receiving Health Card Renewal Packages in September.
