There were no tornadoes touching down, or reports of funnel clouds, but central Saskatchewan was under weather warnings for much of the afternoon and evening yesterday [sun].
Mike McDonald from Environment Canada says a cold front that moved in brought the right conditions for these warnings, after days of hot and relatively humid weather over most of the province. He says hail was a big concern. In fact, there was tennis ball-sized hail around Big River. McDonald says there was large hail through the Prince Albert to Meadow Lake corridor.McDonald says other central regions were battered by smaller-sized hail. He says we can expect much calmer weather this week.
