No one should have to go hungry this holiday season, and you can help make that happen.
The Saskatoon Friendship Inn Fill the Plate campaign with PotashCorp begins today (Fri). One suggestion is to get a group of people together to sponsor a day, and then help prepare and serve the meal. PotashCorpis supporting the Friendship Inn by matching cash donations for the month of December, so when you give, your donation is actually worth twice as much. Friendship Inn spokesperson Sandra Stack says it takes $5-thousand to run their operation daily, and the need in the community is rising. Last month 18-hundred lunch bags were handed out to school children. Stack describes the Friendship Inn as a safe sanctuary for vulnerable people. For the 5th consecutive year, PotashCorp will match your donations up to a total of $100-thousand.
