You might see graders coming down your residential street soon, if you haven't already.
With the forecasts hovering around the melting point, crews have begun grading to prevent severe snow and ice ruts. Last week, crews were out in Kensington, Evergreen, Hampton Village, Rosewood, and the North Industrial area. On Monday, graders were downtown and will be working outward from there, first to the historic neighbourhoods within Circle Drive and then beyond. Brandon Harris, Director of Roadways and Operations says they are inspecting and shaving down the worst streets first. The heavy equipment will just go around any parked vehicles. The snow will get piled into the parking lanes, and there it will sit until it melts away.
