The Federal Government has announced funding for Canada Research Chairs.
More than $173 million in funding will support 203 new and renewed Research Chairs at 48 post secondary institutions across Canada. Nearly $4 million will be coming to the University of Saskatchewan. It's for the renewal of three chairs: one in Bioenergy and Environmentally Friendly Chemical Processing; another in Predictive Aquatic Ecotoxicology; and one in Neonatal Mucosal Immunology. A fourth award goes to the establishment of a Chair in Radiochemestry.
