We have the latest on the death of Chris Cornell. The singer passed away Wednesday night in his Detroit hotel room, after his band ‘Soundgarden’ performed.
Medical examiners have ruled it a suicide by hanging, but those close to him say something doesn’t add up.
His wife Vicky says she spoke to him before and after the show, and he didn’t have any suicidal tendencies. Also, DURING his last show, he was talking about how much he was looking forward to the next one.
The family has issued a statement, saying the jury is still out on whether Chris “knowingly and intentionally" killed himself. They say it’s possible he wasn’t in the right state of mind, because he told his wife he’d taken “an extra Ativan or two.” Ativan is an anti-anxiety drug.
