Carrie Fisher’s coroner’s report has been released, and it’s... undetermined?
Here’s what he do know: Carrie died from sleep apnea and a combination of other factors.
The report says she had a buildup of fatty tissue in the walls of her arteries, and also took multiple drugs (though they could not determine whether those contributed to her death).
Fisher’s family was not surprised by the report. Her daughter, Billie Lourd, said her mom, “battled drug addiction and mental illness her entire life … and ultimately died of it.” She said, “I know my Mom, and she'd want her death to encourage people to be open about their struggles.”
Carrie Fisher was 60 years old when she died in December, 2016.
